Howard Marks is the subject of the documentary Howard Marks: The Man Who Knew Too Much. A former hashish smuggler and drug dealer, Howard Marks used his experience to write a best selling book on the philosophy of addiction, The Brotherhood of the Screaming Abyss. He was also a co-founder, along with Spike Milligan and Peter Cook, of the legendary comedy troupe "The Goon Show," which was broadcast on BBC radio from 1951 to 1960. In later life he became a social activist, co-founding the Association for the Protection of the Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers in 1965.
